Applications on medium & high voltage capacitor banks

1. To reduce the residual voltage quickly

2. To operate the natural unbalanced voltage relay

(the capacitor bank neutral & RVT neutral – both, are not

grounded & are connected together)

3. To measure RVT discharge voltage.

Types available –

1. Oil Filled, natural air cooled – ONAN
2. Dry type – epoxy cast

Standard voltages –

HT -  3.3, 6.6, 11, 22 & 33 kV, 3 Ph

LT – 110 V, 180 V & across each phase

Class accuracy – 1.5% for protection & 1% for metering.

Standard VA rating – 150 VA & 200 VA
