GENERAL APPLICATIONS

These units are used on power circuits of medium frequency. The most common applications are induction heating units & induction melting furnaces in the medium voltage and frequency range. The capacitors improve the power factor in general. However, the basic function here is to achieve, as nearly a resonant condition as possible, so that maximum power is dissipated in the inductive appliance, and to reduce the current drawn out from the generator to the lowest possible value, so that these generators are not unduly overloaded.
