GENERAL APPLICATIONS

These units find application in improving power factors of industrial and other similar loads on low voltage systems in the range 380 volts to 600 volts A.C., 50Hz. There are a great variety of applications, the main amongst which are as below,

Capacitors directly and permanently connected across motors, distribution transformers, and distribution poles.

Capacitors connected in various sections and centrally and manually operated in units or in banks.

Capacitors connected as above, but operated automatically.

Capacitors used during short circuit or temperature rise tests on power transformers and other electromagnetic devices.

Special purpose capacitors.
